Cloud is to expensive so I'm using NAS and/or external harddisks. I'm not even using DVDs anymore for backup reasons. This said, USB sticks and external harddisks should nowadays replace the need for DVDs. Now we are using PCs and interactive devices. Sticks got connected to TVs and played our videos on trade shows. The last bit hardware I distributed was an USB stick. I never lifted off with Blue-Ray, as at the same time, digital distrubution became dominant. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. Note: Depending on your Autoplay settings in Windows, the Set-up.exe file may launch automatically. For a short time I provided the sales teams with DVDs. Double-click Set-up.exe (Windows) or Install.app (macOS) to begin the installation. I was happy, when I could exchange those by standard DVDs. I've made a lot of VHS video copies in PAL, NTSC, SECAM and PAL-M. At the same time, the need for DVD/Blue Ray disks faded, so there was no incentive to replace the functionallity. ![]() The company owning the rights to Encore pulled the plug and Adobe was no more able to bundle it with their products. Jim - Customer Support lead me here and when I tried the live chat the werre just dismissing this issue. From Adobe (and which I was already aware of) that Encore is no longer supported in any way but also they have turned off the servers that carried out authentication when you tried to log in.Ĭurrently anything down from CS4 to CS2 gots the activation servers phased out. Just the final update on the issue of not being able to Login to Encore CS6. Perhaps this will be resolved and I shall update this thread. I did try it first with an old job but that would not work or say file was corrupt. I only had to confirm my CC account and it worked. I was on hold for 60 minutes and had to quit to go and do a task. Encore was asking for that but apparently Pro 6 is not. The pleasant lady in sales said she would transfer me to phone technical support. But as I was about to relay that information to the support person, he ended the chat session! The lady in sales said that Encore is definitely included in Creative Cloud. I called them and asked the support guy to wait on the chat session until I had an answer. However, the support person told me I needed to contact sales. Well, I was having the chat on my laptop (running XP) and I guess the support person was also on XP so the case was proved! My coupon code redeption date was Jul-17-2012. To do so I took a coupon code off the physical packaging which I still have, was sent a serial number by Adobe, I used the serial number to install, generated an activation code, and entered a response code. I think it would be better if Adobe showed the application (possibly greyed out) with a note that it cannot be installed on the PC that is viewing the page. I do not have Internet in my studio, and I completed the activation process offline. If you view the same page under Windows 7 it does show Premiere Pro. If you view the page with XP (for example), it does not show Premier Pro because Premiere Pro works only on a 64 bit OS. At the time of purchase did you have to proof you were a student If it is legit and as said before: wipe everything clean. Now on that page, Adobe has done something clever and stupid. What Why This is software I purchased and own and should be free to use WITHOUT paying for a monthly subscription. To prove the point, the support person pointed me to this page: ![]() If the serial number associated with the software is blocked, find information on this page to quickly resolve the issue. The support person told me emphatically that Encore is not part of Creative Cloud and can be obtained only by buying Premiere Pro and not from the Creative Cloud subscription. Here is an example of the serial number format: 8721-0892-0867-4459-9223-2874. I spent 30 minutes on a chat session with Adobe support. Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro all work fine. I have found that waiting or rebooting the PC does not fix the problem. ![]() It appears this is a common problem, but there does not seem to be a common solution. "Congratulations! You have successfully connected to Adobe License Management Server." I had previously got the problem identified here:įollowing the recommendations fixed the problem, but still Encore has the same issue. Please relaunch the application and provide a valid serial number." "Adobe Encore CS6 cannot run in trial mode. The first time I try to run Encore, I get the two screens shown in that thread and repeated here: I am running Windows 7 on a new Dell Vostro, have a subscription to Creative Cloud, have never installed a trial version of the software, and recently installed Premier Pro.
